Booking with a modified vehicle

If your vehicle is larger and specially modified to accommodate your needs, you will need to be able to provide evidence of the requirements or modifications in order to register its status as an adapted vehicle to ensure the best price. Contact us to register your vehicle.

Once registered you will be able to book using your LeShuttle Member account, or by calling +44 (0) 3443 35 35 35

Registered Guide Dogs

If a disabled person is travelling with a guide dog you need to inform us. We will book them into the system and ensure the guide dog complies with the regulations set out under the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) and the dog will travel free.

Facilities

LeShuttle is a particularly good choice for less able-bodied passengers as all drivers and passengers stay in the comfort of their vehicle for the duration of the journey between the UK and France.

Our Folkestone and Calais Passenger Terminal Buildings are on one level, with parking spaces nearby for cars displaying the disabled badge. There is easy access to the shops, the Food Village, disabled toilet facilities, and low-level telephone booths.

We recommend that all passengers make use of the facilities in the Passenger Terminal Buildings prior to travel as we are unable to guarantee access to toilet facilities on board. Please note, that whilst there are small toilet cubicles on the shuttles, the nature of our service means that we cannot guarantee they will be working during any particular 35 minute crossing.

Check-in

To assist us in ensuring that we deliver you the optimum service, we would ask that you arrive at Check-In no later than 1 hour and no more than 2 hours to your booked departure.

Changing Places

We have a Changing Places located in the UK Passenger Terminal Building. This facility includes an adjustable bed that lowers to ground level and flexible wash basins, all located in a large wash room with full shower facilities.

Changing Places are free to use and do not need to be pre-booked. There is a ‘Changing Places’ sign next to this facility. Please visit the Customer Service and Ticket Desk to gain access. www.changing-places.org

Quiet Room

A quiet room is available on request, subject to availability. Please visit the Customer Service and Ticket Desk to gain access.

Call forward & Boarding

Passengers with reduced mobility are requested to proceed to boarding immediately upon the first call of their letter. Information regarding boarding can be found on the screens inside the Passenger Terminal Buildings in both Folkestone and Calais.

On leaving the terminal simply follow the overhead signs to the boarding lanes.

We will always endeavour to board vehicles belonging to reduced mobility passengers first. This ensures that our crew can easily identify any passengers who may, in the unlikely event of an emergency, require additional assistance.
